About Me

I live in Southwest Florida with my husband, son, three cats and one dog who pretends he's a cat to fit in. I own and manage an independent bookshop. I like to read, obviously, and I read a lot of science fiction (especially Neil Gaiman). I also like to sew and make historical costumes. Although I was born in Sonoma, California, I went to Hillsdale College (Class of '06) where I majored in economics.

I believe that free markets make us better off – the more free, the better; that someone who makes a decision should have to suffer the resulting consequences; that the immigration “problem” would be solved by repealing the income tax and doing away with the welfare system; that the Austrian economists were on to something; that marriage is not the business of the government; and that environmental goals can and should be achieved through free market methods.
