Workin' for a livin'...

I believe that free markets make us better off – the more free, the better; that someone who makes a decision should have to suffer its consequences; that the “problem” of immigration would be solved by repealing the income tax and doing away with the welfare system; that the Austrian economists were on to something; that marriage is not the business of the government; and that environmental goals can and should be achieved through free market methods.

In short, I’m a libertarian.  That doesn’t mean I smoke illicit substances or plot anarchy in my garage.  Actually, I’m a normal citizen just like you who wants peace and justice for all.  I have a job, I own a house, I spoil my cats and I run with my dog.

I have a four year old son who knows that if he wants something he’ll have to work to get it and that at no time in his life will I hand him so much as a Spider-Man action figure before he has earned it.  On weekends I design web content and run an online bookstore.  I play the harp.  I go to church.

In other words, I’m pretty normal.  So keep in mind while you browse my site that these aren’t the ravings of a wacko. These aren't the blind idealogical philosophies of a college sophmore.  These are the words of a hard-working, middle-class, American soccer mom.
